More than you might think: at first glance you don't notice the presence of light and embedded systems, but woe to you if you ever have to go without one of them...
Light and embedded computers can be used and adapted in an extremely versatile and efficient way and yet they usually remain in the background - even though they shape our everyday lives and are omnipresent.
In the morning, the alarm clock rings on the smartphone (embedded system): it's still dark, so we turn on the light switch (light). We go into the kitchen and switch on the automatic coffee machine (embedded system). With a bit of luck, we'll be able to use the first rays of sunshine on the photovoltaic (light + embedded system) before we get to the public transport or into the car (embedded system) and off to work.
And that was only a small part of the day: computers, production machines, monitoring systems, etc. are dependent on embedded systems. And the areas that rely on light as a source of energy, as a source of light and life stand for themselves, even without explanation...
